A continuing education (CE) card is a small plastic card issued by the Alabama Board of Nursing and used by approved continuing education providers to record each nurse’s name and license number in order to register credit for a course. This CE card displays the nurse’s name on the front, with the nurse’s name and license number embedded within the mag-stripe on the back. This CE card is not a valid means for licensure validation, but rather a tool to use for recording continued education.
If a duplicate CE card is needed due to misplacement, loss, or theft, or if the initial card was never received, a duplicate card may be ordered for a fee of $25.
