Board Members – Alabama Board of Nursing

All members of the Alabama Board of Nursing are appointed by the Governor from a list of nominees supplied by professional organizations designated by the Alabama Nurse Practice Act. The Board of Nursing has no role in the appointment process and all communication related to appointments should be directed to the nominating organizations.

The members are appointed as follows:

Eight RN members are nominated by the Alabama State Nurse Association.
Two LPN members are nominated by the Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Alabama.
Two LPN members are nominated by the Alabama Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses.
