CAUSES FOR DENIAL OF ADMISSION TO VDAP

1. Nurse is not eligible for licensure in Alabama.
2. Nurse has had any disciplinary action previously, in any state or jurisdiction.
3. Nurse has felony convictions for any reason.
4. Nurse has nursing practice issues resulting in death or harm to a patient.
5. Has diverted controlled substances for any reasons other than self-administration.
6. Nurse will not benefit from participation in VDAP (public order necessary for public protection/egregious behavior; pattern of deceitfulness/noncompliance).
7. Nurse does not meet any one of the other eligibility criteria.
